We believe Northern Michigan is pretty special all around, but Leelanau County is a true gem. A spectacular peninsula with water surrounding three sides, picturesque M-22 winding around our “pinky finger” of a county, quaint towns, lively small businesses, and great local people. It is no surprise that the word Leelanau means “Delight of Life” to Native Americans.
There is so much to do and see, we invite you to stay several days and come back every year to really experience all that Leelanau County has to offer. Our Inn has an amazing location, just one mile south of the town of Leland and historic Fishtown. You can shop, get ice cream, dine out, go to the beach, and go for a hike all within a mile of our property. When you get back, sip your favorite beverage overlooking North Lake Leelanau from our lawn while you plan your next day’s adventure. Below find a few of our favorites…

Beer: Hop Lot Brewery in Suttons Bay – check it out!
Wine: Good Harbor Vineyards is 1 mile south on M-22. If you’re headed toward Traverse or into Suttons Bay check out Mawby Vineyards they do bubbly!
Beaches: Van’s in Leland is great (turn at Van’s garage). If you stay with us you’ll get a few other secrets about favorite beaches…
Hikes: Try the Whaleback Trail that is just south of us and managed by the Leelanau Conservancy, for a fantastic lookout over Lake Michigan and the Manitou Islands. Houdek Dunes North of Leland. Clay Cliffs Natural Area North of Leland.
Small Towns: Leland of course! Northport rocks. Suttons Bay. Lake Leelanau on the Narrows.
